Hey New Year
ErnieTunes
This is my latest single release.
This is a song I wrote about how much winter sucks.
I am a musician and songwriter located in Nashville, TN. I have been making a living on Broadway for almost 20 years. If you enjoyed any of my songs please give me a follow on Spotify and/or YouTube. It doesn't cost anything to give me a follow and maybe one day I will be able to sustain a living off of royalties. Links are at the bottom of the page.
Also if you are visiting Nashville, please look up where I am playing and come say hi and mention that you listened to my song. It's always nice to know if someone is taking the time to listen.
Thanks! I appreciate the support

This is a song I wrote about how much winter sucks.
I wrote Hey New Year a couple of years ago after I found myself kinda depressed that winter was on its way. After the New Years Eve celebrations it's three months of cold weather, short days, and snow. Lyrically I tried to make it sound like an abusive relationship because we go through it every year. Then suddenly it starts to warm up, the sun starts to shine again and flowers start growing again. So the misery of winter is suddenly forgotten until it repeats again the following year. Kind of like the weather treats me badly and then gives me flowers and tells me it didn't mean it. And this is repeated every year and it sucks! So I decided to write a song about it.
Playing on the song is:
Jenna Hunts all vocals
(follow her on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/jennahuntsmusic)
Kelly Bamberger on Drums
Johnson-Jay Medwik on guitar
Josh Rosen on Keys
Tyler Feehery on Pedal Steel
Ernie Arroyo on Bass
Jack Campitelli recording engineer
Curtis Leonard mixing and mastering
I hope everyone that hates winter as much as I do will relate to my song and maybe even download it for a dollar on my website. Or if you don't want to download it from my website, I will be adding it to all the streaming sites on December 14th, 2025. So you can listen to it over and over again like it was a Morgan Wallen song or something.
